Welcome to the season of Lent. The altar colors (paraments) have changed to purple. They remain purple through Palm Sunday, March 24. During Lent, we have added worship opportunities on Wednesdays at noon and 6:30pm. The evening service is preceded by a soup and salad dinner. Please join us at these reflective services.
Thank you to all who helped with Sandwich Sunday! You all made 107 bag lunches which were delivered to St Francis Mission House this past Monday and will be distributed to those who are hungry. The service project was followed by Game Day in the fellowship hall. Everyone had a great time and even won some prizes! See pictures below.
Mark your calendars for Dine with Us, a youth fundraiser. This fundraiser takes a lot of people to make it happen, so mark your calendars for Saturday, March 9th. Our theme this year is the Australian Outback! Dennis Faye will be on hand as our guest chef. Youth are asked to help be servers, bussers and cooks in this huge fundraiser. Plan on being at church from 3pm-10pm the day of the event. We are already taking reservations for this very popular event. We serve about 100 people that night.
This event will help you earn credit for Adventure Camp and Confirmation Camp. Please let me know if you are able to help out.
Adventure Camp Retreat is coming this summer, June 30-July 4. This amazing fun week takes place in Orlando at the Grand Beach Resort on Lake Bryan and is open to youth currently in the Youth Life group. This event is full of adventure for sure: kayaking, paddle boarding, boating. glow in the dark laser tag, miniature golf along with study of the Word and service at Second Harvest Food Bank.
