Quilting Ministry Update – Our quilters now meet EVERY Wednesday at 1:30pm! No experience is needed and no sewing! This group cuts squares, organizes them by color, creates quilt top patterns and matches already- sewn quilt tops with filler and backing. Even if you have never volunteered before, you can be trained in minutes!! If good fun and good fellowship! There are also cutting kits and sewing kits in the Gathering Area for you to take home and work at your own pace.
All Day Quilting Workshop – Sat, Aug 3rd 9:00am – 3:30pm – Drop in anytime and work for an hour or two or come for the whole day!! During our quilting workshops volunteers work on all tasks from cutting, to matching, to sewing, to completing tops and bottoms. All are welcome!
Kits are Available to Take Home!! – We have an abundance of Cutting Kits and Sewing Kits in the Gathering Area for folks to take home and work on at their own pace. The Cutting Kits have lengths of fabric, a 12”x12” square pattern, a permanent market and a slip to complete. The only skills needed are tracing and cutting! The Sewing Kits are comprised of squares that have already been arranged in a pattern and clearly labeled in the order to be sewn. It does require using a sewing machine but all are straight seams. If you would like to help, pick up one (or more) and return when you are finished – no time requirements.
