Our quilters now meet EVERY Wednesday at 1:30pm! Volunteers gather to work on all aspects of our disaster relief quilts that are passed on to Lutheran World Relief and to the North American Lutheran Church Disaster Team. No experience is needed and no sewing!
On Wednesdays, this group cuts squares, organizes them by color, creates quilt top
patterns and matches already-sewn quilt tops with filler and backing. Even if you have never volunteered before, you can be trained in minutes!! If good fun and good fellowship!
Special Quilting Session – Saturday, June 29th 9:00am – 3:30pm – This is a special, one day work session where the only task is matching sewn quilt tops to filler and backing. This will help us get caught up and provide a mid-year donation of quilts to NALC as they seek to support those recently impacted by severe flooding and tornados across the country. Please indicate on the Yellow Connect Card Insert.
All Day Quilting Workshop – Saturday, August 3rd 9:00am – 3:30pm – Drop in anytime and work for an hour or two or come for the whole day!! During our quilting workshops volunteers work on all tasks from cutting to matching to sewing to completing tops and bottoms. All are welcome!
If you have fabric or new/gently used bed sheets to donate to the quilting ministry, please place them in the Quilting basket in the Gathering Area. The quilters can also use embroidery thread and two-gallon zip lock bags. Donations are always greatly appreciated!
