FOUR Weeks ‘til PUMPKINS! Save the date: Saturday, October 7th at 9 am – We hope you will make plans to join us as the truck makes its annual trek from New Mexico to Jacksonville with our special delivery. It takes MANY hands to make light work unloading half of a semi-trailer!! Teens earn community service hours!!
We will be working on Patch set up throughout the month. If you are able to assist with setting up our fencing, setting up the maze, or doing other “construction” work, please indicate this on the Yellow Insert.
Our Patch is always a huge success, offering families an opportunity to be outdoors and do something fun together and we anticipate a good year again this autumn. We also offer no-cost field trips to area preschools and kindergartens as a blessing to the community. We hope you will join us and be a part of this project that earns funds for a variety of ministries.
We will need volunteers EVERY DAY and EVERY EVENING from October 8th through the 31st and this is a great way to invite friends and family to serve with you while having fun and enjoying the outdoors. And it’s a great way for families of all ages to serve together. Please consider volunteering a shift or two!
Saturday, October 21 will be Party in the Patch Day!! – We are planning a fun-filled time in the Patch from 11 am to 2 p.m. We’ll have games for the kids – they can come in costume if they like and “trick-or-treat” at the various stations, there will be photo opportunities for adults and families and several food trucks in the parking lot for lunch and treats. If you would like to volunteer to set up on the day of the event, please sign up on the Yellow Insert. We will need help with parking, greeting, games stations, crafts, and clean up.
