Weekend Update – October 3rd & 4th

We have an exceptionally busy weekend ahead and, with the changing plans for the pumpkin unloading, I want to make sure everyone has all the information they need for attending worship and for participating in the other activities. Please take extra care entering and leaving the property this weekend.

Saturday, October 3rd

  • Saturday Morning from 9am to 11am – final work in the patch to be ready for the truck to arrive – help is appreciated
  • Saturday Afternoon – Pumpkin Unloading – if you are able, please join us to help unload the truck. This is a BIG task and your help is needed. Please arrive by 3:45pm and park as far in the back as possible. We need folks on the property before the truck arrives at 4:00pm. We unload rain or shine but will break if there is thunder and lightening. We have to work until our 3/4 is empty as the last 1/4 goes to Living Hope at 7:00am Sunday morning. The more volunteers we have, the fast it will go.
  • Saturday Evening – We will hold worship as usual at 5:30pm. For those helping with unloading, be watchful of cars coming onto the property. For those coming for worship, traffic will be backed up on the service road so please be patient and give yourself a few extra minutes. As you come in, there will be children helping with unloading so please be cautious.

Sunday, October 4th

  • Sunday Morning – The CVS Vaccine Clinic, held in the North Annex Classroom, opens at 8:00am so there may be more cars than we are used to. 8:30am and 10:30 am worship service will be held as usual. The clinic is open until 1:00pm.
  • Sunday Afternoon – The Patch opens at Noon (12:00-7:00pm) and we still need volunteers from 3:00-7:00pm. If you want to sign up for Sunday, or any day, just reply to this message.
    • The Pet Blessing Service will be held at 4:00pm in the Patch if the weather is good and in the Gathering Area if it is raining.
    • Youth Life meets at 5:00pm with dinner and Bible Study

A busy weekend for sure but an indication of a vibrant and active community of faith. I hope you will support the Patch as it is an important means to connect with those in the neighborhood. It results in folks visiting our church and in new members, as well as raising funds for our ministries.
