We are beginning to plan our 2024 trips to Tarma, Peru, targeting late January for our first trip and mid-summer for the second one. Our early trip is usually more administrative in nature, planning projects and estimating needs but does include work on the property as needed. Our summer trip usually is more project-oriented with larger repair and construction projects. If you would like information about possibly participating on either trip, please indicate your interest on the Yellow Insert. We will provide more details as they become available.
When folks support a Peru mission trip, each individual purchases their own air fare and pays for accommodations – we are in a modest hotel (safe and clean but not fancy!) and for meals. Most meals are provided by our ministry partner Fatty Jimenez – his team cook for us in their restaurant to ensure we are eating foods that have been prepared safely and do not contain raw fruits and vegetables. These tend to not agree with most travelers! Total costs will depend on airfares.
The early trip occurs during the Peruvian summer and tends to provide mild days and cool nights. The June/July trips occur during their winters with cool days and cold nights. We’ll make sure you are equipped with proper packing lists! We’d love to have you join us!
