Please keep in your prayers the work of the call committee as they begin their work on developing a profile for a Mission Planting Pastor for the mission plant we are doing in St. Johns County. For a pastor to lead the planting of a church involves specific gifts beyond serving an established congregation and these discussions will be part of the interview and discernment process. The call committee’s scope of work involves creating a profile, interviewing potential pastors, and making a recommendation to the church council, which in turn will make a recommendation to the congregation for a vote to extend a call. We anticipate this will begin as a part time call.
