We have emptied the Fellowship Hall closet and will begin renovating this week. We are using the north Annex Classroom for our temporary storage and eventual temporary kitchen. Please have patience with this project as we proceed.
As we strive to be good stewards, we are seeking the best pricing possible on required expenses and we are reusing as much equipment and supplies as possible. Any appliances, fixtures, cabinets and equipment that we do remove will be donated to another ministry.
We invite all who want to financially support these improvements to contribute. All donations help to offset our expenses for new equipment, and construction and labor costs. Our kitchen is used for many ministries – fellowship, Alpha, VBS, Game Night, outside groups like the Nursing Student Mentors, Bible studies, Meals on Wheels, the list goes on and on. These renovations will not only beautify our gathering spaces but will also provide an increased level of efficiency that, in turn, supports all these efforts. If you would like to help, mark your check and envelope “Kitchen” or use the Kitchen icon on the Care Square.
You are invited to help! We will begin with “demo day” on Saturday, Sept 7 at 9am and will create a temporary kitchen set up in the North Annex classroom. If you are able to offer the gift of time and can help for a few hours, please join us on the 7th at 9:00am. We will be emptying all of the cabinets, shelves and drawers and relocating the appliances and all kitchen equipment to the Annex. All helping hands are appreciated!
