Bowling- February 8, Plan for a fun afternoon this Sunday! The group of 13 youth and adults are gathering after the 10:30 worship for lunch in the annex and then off to bowling at 1:30pm. You will go to Jax Lanes on Beach Blvd for an afternoon of fun! Parent pickup is at 4:15 at the bowling alley. Cost for the day is $20, plus funds for any drinks/snacks you want at the alley. Souperbowl of Caring, February 8: The youth will hold soup pots after each service collecting funds to be sent directly to local food pantries-including our own. We are also collecting canned goods this year. Great service opportunity. Please plan on helping out! This is a nationwide event that raises millions of dollars for food pantries and food banks.
Dine with Us– March 7. 2pm-9pm. This is a huge fundraiser for the youth group. Please plan on participating. Parents, we will need your help too! Our theme this year is Southern Comforts-Taste of Home! You will need to wear white shirts, dark pants and closed toed shoes. We will provide the rest: bandannas and aprons to complete the look! Mother’s Day Breakfast: Sunday, May 10: This is also a huge fundraiser for the youth group and a great way to honor our Moms. We will be providing breakfast on Mother’s Day between the services and after the 10:30 worship service. Pancakes, casseroles, etc. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate moms and collect funds for future youth events like the one below!
NALC Continental Youth Gathering: July 7-10, Roanoke VA. Cost is $275 plus hotel and transportation to VA. Details coming soon.
