Shepherd’s Shelves Celebration Weekend – February 7th & 8th – It seems like just a few weeks ago that we launched our community food pantry, but it has been almost five months!! We are now seeing 30+ visitors each time we open which means we are assisting 300+ individuals each week when you consider other household members. This is only possible with your food and financial donations! Thank You!

We are pleased to share that this past week we moved into a much larger space, added a reception area so guests are not outside when it’s cold or raining and we adjusted our hours to better fit with both our pick-up schedule from Publix bakery and to better schedule our volunteers. Please stop in and take a
look!! We are now open Sundays and Thursdays from 10 am to 1 pm. Volunteers are always needed – there is a sign-up clipboard on the food donation cart in the Gathering Area.

We are also pleased to introduce Blessings Bags – a bag you can keep in your car to provide to someone in need. They contain ready to eat meal items, water, toothbrush and toothpaste and often a new pair of socks. It also has information on the location and hours of our food pantry as well as information on other local resources. It you would like to keep one in your car, please take one or two with you today. There are also cards with the address and times of the food pantry that you can give to someone who might need us. Stop by the Shepherd’s Shelves table in the Gathering Area after worship!!
