January has been Disaster Relief Awareness Month– All month, we worked towards our goal of providing the NALC Disaster Relief team with items for their warehouses. Today we will be praying over and blessing the beautiful handmade quilts, baby blankets, baby care items, Bibles, and full-size blankets that will be going to a regional Disaster Response warehouse. Thanks to all who have contributed to the quilts and handmade baby items and to all the donated items. For more information on how you can make an impact on those affected by flooding, fires, hurricanes and tornadoes, please pick up a flier in the Gathering Area.
We have special guests at all three services this weekend. We are overjoyed to welcome the NALC Disaster Relief Coordinator, Mary Bates and her husband Ken Bates, who works alongside Mary in this important work. Mary & Ken will also be joining us at all three services next weekend and will provide a brief presentation during the 9:30 Study Hour in the Shepherd Center. Please offer your welcome and appreciation for how they serve NALC and those in need.
