Peterbrooke Chocolate fundraiser continues this weekend, May 4-5. We have a table set up in the gathering area. Youth are needed to be at the table taking orders. It is set up to be “self serve” but it’s always nice to be present for a fundraiser. There will be samples available as well as the order forms. Folks can pay on the Care Square, by check payable to SOTW or cash(although change is limited). Please let me know if you can help after the 8:30 service or after the 10:30 service. This is the final weekend for sales. Pickup is next weekend after all services.
Our next youth fundraiser is next Sunday, May 12th with our Mother’s Day “Pancakes and More” Breakfast! Please mark your calendars. This fundraiser is a bit more involved than our last breakfast as we will have more variety in the menu. Help will be needed to serve after both the 8:30 and 10:30 services. So plan on being here from 8:30 until about 12:30pm. You can earn youth credits towards Adventure Camp and Confirmation Camp costs. Let me know if you can help out. Vacation Bible School is June 17-21. Volunteers are needed to help with games, crafts and fellowship. Please let Kelly Clark or Cynthia Cannon know if you are able to help out this summer.
Adventure Camp Retreat is coming this summer, June 30-July 4. This amazing, fun week takes place in Orlando at the Grand Beach Resort on Lake Bryan and is open to youth currently in the Youth Life group. This event is full of adventure for sure: kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, glow in the dark laser tag, miniature golf, along with study of the Word and a service project at Second Harvest Food Bank. Registration is open. You can register by clicking on the link below and completing the forms. There are also registration forms outside Rhonda’s office in the church hallway. Confirmation Camp is July 21-25th and will take place at Epworth by the Sea on St Simon’s Island, GA. More information to follow.
