We will celebrate Shrove Tuesday…on a Sunday! Whether you call Shrove Tuesday “Mardi Gras” (France), “Dia de la Tortilla” (Spain), “Pancake Day” (England) or “Fettisdagen” (Sweden), please join us on Sunday, March 2 after the 8:30am or the 10:30am services for a Pancake Feast. This is an annual fundraiser for our Youth Life group as they seek to raise funds for summer Faith Camp fees and expenses.

Shrove Tuesday is one of the three days preceding Ash Wednesday (Wed., March 5) which is the beginning of Lent. Lent is a season of prayer, confession, and reflection and many use this time to set aside sweets and other things they deem “treats”. Historically, pancakes and other sweets were eaten on Shrove Tuesday in an effort to use up ingredients prior to the 40-day “fasting” leading up to Easter! Join us as we serve up pancakes, bacon, sausage, egg casseroles and fruit parfaits. A love offering is appreciated!
