Youth Life News

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Garage Sale this past weekend. Over $5,000 was raised for our Peru Mission in Tarma.

Palm Sunday and Holy Week are fast approachingMaundy Thursday (April 6), we would love to have 7-12th grade youth help during worship, specifically during the altar stripping. This is a very moving service and it ends with the entire altar being stripped of everything. If you would like to participate in the 6:30 pm service, please let me know. We ask that you wear white shirts and black pants. We will wear white gloves to handle the altar elements and those gloves will be provided to you.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 8th, to help with the annual Easter Egg Hunt. This event is open to the community and you will earn community service hours. Help is needed from 9-12 pm to set up games, and activities, help run the games, etc. Super fun morning! Please let me know if you can help.

Do you like Hockey? Jennifer Johnson has 10 hockey tickets for the Sunday, April 16th, 5 pm, game. Plan on meeting at church at 4 pm, carpooling to the event, and return back to church when the event is over. Bring money for snacks and souvenirs. This is a first come, first serve event as there are only 10 tickets available for 7th-12th grade youth life members. If you would like to go, you must let me know or let Jennifer know. There are still tickets available! Please note the change in event time.

Each Wednesday during Lent, worship services are offered at Noon and 6:30 pm. Soup and salad dinners are offered at 5:30 pm. We’d love to see you at dinner! Prayerfully consider attending these worship services as a lenten discipline.

Confirmation Camp dates have been set! June 26-30, Epworth by the Sea, Ga. Mark your calendars- more info coming soon.
